Chocolate Almond Freezer Fudge (absurdly delicious)

Chocolate craving anyone? If you didn’t have one, you sure will by the end of this post.

Today, I have a chocolate treat that you can enjoy 100% guilt-free. This fudge is guaranteed to satisfy even the fiercest sweet tooth without overloading the body with refined sugar. It is not only naturally sweetened, but it is also full of antioxidants, protein, fiber, magnesium, and other nutrients which will nourish your body.

I’m betting you will either curse me or bless me for sharing this one with you.

It is pretty much irresistible. This fudge has been in my freezer for about four days now and every time I go to the fridge I find myself reaching into the freezer for a big tiny piece.  Although this isn’t your traditional fudge recipe it will sure give it a run for its money.

You see, eating healthy isn’t all carrot sticks and leafy greens.

No refined white sugar in sight, yet this fudge is just as decadent as anything I ate in my junk food days. It is rich and creamy and it will literally melt in your mouth. And aside from letting it set in the freezer, it comes together in about five minutes.

Need you know more? Get on it.

Chocolate Almond Freezer Fudge recipe

1/2 cup unrefined virgin coconut oil
1/3 cup raw almond butter or peanut butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1 healthy tablespoon pure vanilla extract
pinch fine grain sea salt, to taste
3/4 cup raw walnuts, roughly chopped

With electric beaters, beat together the coconut oil and almond butter. Add in the cocoa powder and beat again until combined. Pour in the maple syrup, vanilla, and salt and beat until smooth. Stir in the walnuts. Line a loaf pan with a piece of parchment paper. Scoop the chocolate mixture into the pan and spread out until even. Freeze uncovered for about 1 hour, or until solid. Store in the freezer. Slice into small squares.
