Tropical Green Smoothie (a personal favorite)

Half the country is enjoying the start of spring and the other half (ahem) is simply dreaming about it.

But either way, our food is about to lighten up and I’m ready for it!

Fresh spring greens are beautiful, tasty, and chock full of essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

Even better… they are immune-boosting, super energizing, and they give your skin a gorgeous glow!

Now, I have experimented with a lot of green smoothies in my time. Seriously. A lot.

This one has always remained one of my favorites. It is just pure raw goodness plus it contains healthy fats and easily digested protein so that you are filled up and satisfied.

All your superfoods in one drink before your day even starts? Brilliant.

Smoothies are easy, quick, full of whole foods, and best of all they please little kids and big kids! If you need to sneak more green vegetables into your son, daughter, husband, or even yourself here is the way to do it.

Hello dream smoothie.

Tropical Green Smoothie recipe

I absolutely love adding tropical fruit to my green smoothies. While pineapple is available all year long, its peak season is from March through July, so using it now means maximum flavor. Bonus! Pineapple is loaded with vitamin C and it aids in digestion.

2 cups water

1 cup mango, fresh or frozen

1 cup pineapple, fresh or frozen

1 banana, fresh or froze, peeled

2 cups baby spinach

1 tbsp. hemp seeds

1 tbsp. ground flax seed

1/2 tbsp. unrefined coconut oil

Place all ingredients in your high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!
