Here’s the scoop:
Frozen banana’s make the best ice cream. If you freeze a peeled banana until solid, then whiz it up in a food processor, it gets creamy and a little gooey, just like soft serve ice cream BUT without the dairy, artificial ingredients & refined sugar.

Go have fun with all sorts of add-ins: peanut butter & chocolate, strawberries, mint & dark chocolate {oh my goodness me, so tasty}, almond butter & honey, coconut & dark chocolate… it’s all just mind-blowingly good!
Basic Banana Ice Cream
1 ripe banana, peeled
Slice banana into chunks, and place in a container in your freezer. The banana will take about 6-8 hours to freeze.
To make the ice cream: put the bananas in a food processor and blend until they become a creamy soft serve ice cream. Scoop into a bowl and add your favorite add-ins. Either eat ASAP or place in the freezer for later. You can also top with yummy, nutritious stuff like raw dried fruit, coconut, nuts and seeds!
*Keep in mind that it will tend to melt faster than regular ice cream & should be enjoyed immediately!
