Green Smoothie – curb your holiday cravings!
This smoothie makes me want to sing & dance and share it with the world.
Yes, as many of you know, I love my green smoothies.
I don’t think I am exaggerating when I say that green smoothies were a game changer for me.
It all started with an innocent trip to a smoothie bar in Southern California over a decade ago. A surfer at the counter told me that I just had to try the Green Monster. He looked me in the eyes and said “dude, it makes spinach seem like a secret.”
I was skeptical. He was right. I instantly became hooked.
Within no time I was a regular, sometimes stopping in twice a day, and at this point I realized it was time to start making my green smoothies at home. So I bit the bullet, bought myself a blender and began to experiment. I quickly realized that (a) no two smoothies are alike and the possibilities are endless (b) my cravings for unhealthy foods slowly disappeared.
Now, let me share a little secret with you…
You may think that a better time to talk about smoothies would be in the spring or summer, but I say there is no better time to start a smoothie kick than right now during the holiday season.
Let’s face it, sometimes the holidays don’t make us feel our cleanest.
November & December can bring as much stress and bad food possibilities as the previous months combined, and a smoothie a day is a great way to give your body the nutrition it really needs to withstand increased stress and reject junk food.
Try this! Prior to heading out to a holiday party, sip on this green smoothie to ward off over-eating.
In less than 10 minutes you can flood your body with over 100 powerful plant-based nutrients plus the high fiber & water content will help keep you satiated & hydrated which in turn will help reduce your cravings for processed sugary sweets.
Really, what more could we ask for?

Did you know …
*Due to mint’s strong scent, it is a natural appetite suppressant that can be used to keep cravings at bay. It also soothes the stomach in cases of indigestion or inflammation.
*Eating pineapple can highly cut down your sweet cravings because of its natural sweetness, saving you from excess refined sugar-induced calories.
*Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain which helps to digest food by breaking down the protein particles within it and promoting a healthy digestive system.
